Garment care TDS

Be aware

Please take care when wearing jewellery, handbags, belts, or other accessories, as these can cause pulls, snags, tears, or damage to the garment. We also ask that extra care is taken around coloured drinks, makeup, fake tan, and other substances that may cause staining or discolouration.

As our garments are rented regularly, minor signs of wear may be present. If you have any concerns about the condition of a specific garment, please contact us before booking and we will happily provide additional information or photos where possible.

Respect

All garments are rented for the personal use of the individual named on the booking. Garments must not be worn, shared, sublet, or transferred to another person without prior approval from The Dress Hire Society.

If you would like another person to wear the garment, please contact us before the rental period. Requests may be approved at our discretion, provided the rental has been paid for and all terms and conditions are agreed to and followed.

Any unauthorised use of a garment may result in the cancellation of future bookings and additional fees where applicable.

Care

Please do not attempt to wash, spot-clean, repair, alter, or dry-clean any garment yourself. Professional cleaning is included in your rental fee and will be arranged by The Dress Hire Society upon return of the garment.

If a significant stain, mark, or accident occurs during your rental period, please notify us as soon as possible. In some cases, particularly with delicate or ball gown fabrics, we may provide specific instructions regarding professional cleaning to ensure the garment receives the appropriate care and maintains its quality.
